Many Davis speed limits out of date

According to state law, speed limits have to be reevaluated and
justified every five years. There are currently several street sections
in Davis where the speed limits are not up to date. “Every five years we have to update our traffic surveys.… It affects
some of our speed limits,” said Roxanne Namazi, senior civil engineer
with the Davis Public Works Department. “Fifty-four of 120 [speed
segments] are now impacted.”

birthday cakes in the same place. The Davis Chamber of Commerce has organized an array of festivities in
celebration of the university’s centennial. The events, geared toward
people of all ages, will take place from noon to 4 p.m. throughout the
downtown area and the UC Davis campus.
