For me and many others, this manifests itself in the form of half-arsed New Year’s resolutions, mine of which either tend to be overly pragmatic (i.e. floss regularly, drink more water, get more rest) to downright unfeasible (be taller, get perfect vision, stop procrastinating).

UC Regents to consider cutting freshman enrollment next fall The University of California Regents will hold a special meeting Jan.14via teleconference to discuss a plan that would cut freshman enrollment at UC campuses for the2009-2010academic year as a result of insufficient state funding.

UC Irvine graduates recently debutedtheir first iPhone application amidst the flurry of new applications this holiday season. After graduating from UC Irvine, several friends started their own cloud telephone company called Callfire and used the technology and infrastructure to create “FriendCast,” the free iPhone application aimed at helping student groups communicate last-minute changes of plans. The application allows the user to record a message and send it to the phones of friends, colleagues or group-mates.
