The results of a recent Kaplan Test Prep and Admissions survey indicate that medical school applicants may be less affected by the current economic climate than their peers applying to law and business school. These students may also be the most reserved group in the online sphere.

In response to a 32 percent fee increase for students at the University of California, there have been numerous demonstrations decrying what students see as mismanagement by the UC Board of Regents and the state of California. While it is certainly the right of all students to protest, it is important to do so with respect and tact. Otherwise, the spectacle can simply detract from the message.

The Department of Student Housing recently announced its decision to close one of the three cooperative student homes on campus, citing financial problems as the motivating factor. Unfortunately, it appears as though Student Housing has done relatively little to prevent the closure.
