Up fron A student was referred for using a cheat sheet on an exam.Upon meeting with an SJA officer,the student promptly admitted to the dishonest behavior,and agreed to the sanctions of disciplinary probation and10hours of community service.The student’s honesty was an important mitigating factor in determining appropriate sanctions.

Underfunding from the state and a surge in new cases has put Yolo Superior Court in a precarious position.Yolo Superior Court dealt with a large increase in case filings last year,according to statistics released early this month.
