California‘s Proposition8may have passed in November,but the battleover same-sex marriagehas moved back to the courts.This time,the constitutionality ofNovember‘s amendment is on trial.The California Supreme Court heard oral arguments for three cases working to get Prop8overturned last Thursday in San Francisco.

As Chancellor Larry N.Vanderhoef prepares to retire at the end of this academic year,the search for a new chancellor is currently underway. Approximately six candidates have been selected thus far by the Advisory Committee to receive invitations for preliminary interviews over a two-day period this month.

The UC Davis baseball team didn’t have any wins to show for it,but it flew back from Portland,Ore.on Sundaywith its offensebackon track. After a slow start to the season,the Aggies had12hits in Game1of Saturday’s double header and10more in Game2.It was the first time all season they had strung together consecutive double-digit hitting efforts.
