Football Former UC Davis defensive tackle John Faletoese has agreed to a free-agent contract with the Buffalo Bills while offensive guard Jonathan Compas has done the same with the Oakland Raiders. New vineyard planted on UC Davis campus

Wine making has a new home at UC Davis after twelve acres of vineyard were planted next to the Robert Mondavi Institute of Wine and Food Science on Wednesday. The teaching vineyard will be used by undergraduate and graduate students in the viticulture and enology department to help familiarize them with the process of grape harvesting from beginning to end and to workwith a vineyard in each season.

A plan to route a new set of power lines through Yolo County has sparked anger among a numberoffarmers and residents. The Transmission Agency of Northern California,or TANC,has proposed the construction of600miles of new power lines in Northern California.The TANC Transmission Project (TTP) would transmit energy from renewable sources in Lassen County throughout Sacramento and the San Francisco Bay Area.
