University of California students might be headed to study in Israel for the first time in six years. The University of California is currently in the final stages of
negotiating with the Rothberg International School at Hebrew University
of Jerusalem to reinstate the Education Abroad Program, which was
suspended in 2002 following the placement of Israel on the State
Department’s travel warning list.

Fans of “The Simpsons” and Shakespeare alike will have an opportunity to rejoice next week as the theatrical mash-upMacHomer makes a stop in the Mondavi Center on Dec.11.The one-man show,which was created by Rick Miller in the summer of2004,replaces the original characters of Shakespeare’sMacbeth with characters from the popular cartoon “The Simpsons.“ Miller,who has performed the show for over500,000people in the last13years,said the idea came to him as a result of too much idle time backstage during a touring production ofMacbeth.

The UC Davis men’s soccer team held high expectations coming into the2008season after qualifying for the school’s first-ever NCAA Division I Tournament appearance a year earlier. As the final seconds ticked off the clock in Ann Arbor,Mich.in UC Davis‘ 2-1loss to No.13Michigan in the second round of the tournament,the Aggies‘ season came to a close with much to be proud of.

I don‘t have cable,so when I go home on breaks and watch TV it‘s always a bit surreal to see how far gone we are.Especially the advertising.I mean,there I am,waiting to be told how to feel about myselfand suddenly I hear that if I take this one pill I‘ll be“sleepwalking and eating or driving while not fully awake with amnesia for the event.” I heard that,froze and blacked out.
