As "Spider-Man: Brand New Day" swung into theaters nationwide on Friday, July 31, moviegoers gathered at Varsity Theatre in Davis, Calif. for the film's opening weekend. Here are some of the highlights captured by The California Aggie.

On Saturday, Feb. 21, the Aggies defeated the UC Riverside Highlanders 65-56 during a Big West Conference matchup. The team was led by sophomores Avery Sussex and Ryann Bennett, who scored 20 and 19 points, respectively.

Breaking a series of recent losses, the UC Davis women's gymnastics team edged out William & Mary 191.225 to 191.000 on Friday, Feb. 20. The Aggies won on vault, beam and floor, with senior Amelia Moneymaker taking home the all-around title.

The “Big Shift” is an infrastructure project that aims to update our inefficient and deteriorating steam heating system with a greener, efficient and durable hot water system. Currently, construction crews are focusing on upgrading the Sprocket district, which includes the Segundo and Regan residence halls, the ARC and a handful of facilities and classrooms. Construction in this district is projected to be completed in early 2027.
