Health conscious individuals all over the country have been reacting recently to the news that the chemical Biphenyl-A (BPA), found in Nalgene water bottles and other plastics, can be potentially dangerous to humans. Davis has been no exception, and worried citizens are busy replacing their old Nalgenes with BPA-free alternatives.

The Whole Earth Festival came and went last weekend with both grunts and squeals. “Mending Our Web” included a plethora of enjoyment.Personally,I eat up all the free-spirited vibes in the air,love the wide variety of handmade goods for sale and of course the ethnic concession stands and the zero waste mission.But for some,Whole Earth is not so enjoyable,as they resent the high concentration of hippies.

UC Davis History Project receives $1 million grant

Following low American history test scores, the U.S. Department of Education has granted $1 million to the UC Davis History Project, a program on campus that educates history teachers in the Sacramento area.
