After a year of struggling for a way to pay for everything without cutting programs,the Davis Joint Unified School District is turning to residents. Measure W on the Davis ballot is a parcel tax that would require homeowners to pay$120per year and apartment owners to pay$50per unit per year.The tax would last for three years,and the district’s board of trustees could vote to eliminate the tax if they felt it was unnecessary.

In the Oct. 27 issue of The California Aggie, the ASUCD Senate Briefs incorrectly stated that according to the bylaws, commissioners can be considered for removal from office after two missed meetings. Commissioners can only be considered for removal after three missed meetings. The Aggie regrets the error.

Takingphotos ofexammaterials Asociology student was witnessed taking unauthorized photos of exam materials during a class review session.To prepare the class for an upcoming exam,the professor provided students with a list of possible test questions,on the condition that it was to be returned at the end of the session.While the professor had momentarily stepped out of the classroom,the student began to take photos of the materials.She subsequentlye-mailedthe photos to various classmates.After admitting the misconduct to the professor,the student agreed to a sanction of Disciplinary Probation through graduation.

will cross the table and expatriation will surely be threatened in the
grand American contest we revere on an even higher plane than the Super
Bowl.When the haze clears onNov.5,the world will awaken to the reality of a new lot of U.S.figureheads– and all the challenges they represent.By the time my next column is published,the race will have ended,so this week I would like to impart one last treatise before Judgment Day.
University of California partners with Google to share digitized books

SinceOct.13,the nation’s largest research libraries‘ digital collections have been available to students and facultywith just the click of a mouse. The HathiTrust effort is a shared digital repository that includes thelibraries of the10UC campuses,the University of Michigan,Indiana University and other major research libraries reaching a total of23university collections scanned by Google.
