Before Davis residents mail in their ballots or stop by their polling place, Davis City Council candidates had a chance to put forth their last comments at a final public forum.

Last Tuesday, City Council approved a 5 and 3 percent increase in water and sewer rates, respectively, to take effect on Aug. 1. It is estimated that the average single-family household will see an increase of $1.23 a month for sewer and $1.76 a month for water services.

One hundred Davis City Employee’s Association (DCEA) members filled the Community Chambers at last Tuesday’s City Council meeting to address City Council’s approval of city employee contract adjustments.

Did the Aggies win a championship? Did they make the playoffs? Did they have a winning record? The answer to each of these questions is, “no”.
