News in brief: City car thefts spike

The city of Davis has seen an increase in stolen cars, including two since last Wednesday.

There were 10 vehicles stolen between Feb. 26 and March 2. The thefts occurred between 9 p.m. and 9 a.m., and Honda Civics and Acura Integras appear to be targeted, according to Lt. Paul Doroshov, of the Davis Police Department.

Six of the original 10 vehicles have been recovered.
