Teezo Touchdown to perform at Sunset Fest Friday, Oct. 9
The annual Fall welcome concert will be headlined by the Texas-born rapper

This Friday, Oct. 9, ASUCD’s Entertainment Council (EC) will be hosting UC Davis’ annual Fall welcome concert: Sunset Fest. The event will be held at the UC Davis Health Stadium, featuring headliner Teezo Touchdown and supporting artist Jordan Ward.
The Artists
Headliner Teezo Touchdown, who’s real name is Aaron Lashane Thomas, is a rapper and singer originally from Texas. He’s been featured on various artists’ songs, including “RUNITUP” and “Darling, I” by Tyler, The Creator; Doja Cat’s “MASC;” and Lil Yachty’s “the ride-.”
The artist has over 4.4 million monthly listeners on Spotify, with his collaboration with Tyler, The Creator reaching over 240 million streams at the time of publication.
Supporting artist Jordan Ward is a singer, songwriter and dancer originally born in Missouri. With 1.5 million monthly listeners on Spotify, his most listened-to songs are “FAMJAM4000” and “WHITE CROCS.” He has previously worked as a backup dancer for artists including Justin Bieber, Usher and Beyoncé.
The concert will also feature two student openers. The first is the DJ duo Digita1 Frequency, led by students Oliver Groszkruger, a third-year landscape architecture major, and Aksel Olsen, a fourth-year communication major.
The second student opener is Tonie, who released tracks titled Stranger, Crash! and Repeat, where he collaborated with UC Davis alum Thai T.
What attendees should know
Attendees must be UC Davis students and will need a copy of their ticket, available through event pre-registration on AggieLife, to enter. Attendees will also need to present their physical UC Davis Aggie ID card. Other forms of identification — including pictures of Aggie Cards, driver's licenses, Canvas pages or Oasis account screens — will not be accepted for entry.
Doors open at the stadium’s Gate 1 at 6 p.m. and reentry is not permitted.
Prohibited items include outside food and drink, bottles, cans, glass, alcohol, poles, sticks, signs, flags, noisemakers, drugs, drug paraphernalia, unmarked and mixed substances and smoking and vaping products. Weapons, including pepper spray and sharp objects, are also banned, alongside transportation devices including bicycles, skateboards and scooters. No animals will be allowed, except service animals. If attendees bring bags, they must be clear and no larger than 8 by 6 inches.
Free water will be given at the event. Food trucks that accept Aggie Cash will be present, in addition to those providing vegetarian and vegan options. After the event, Unitrans will be providing special event service on the C, D, J, L, V, W and Z lines. Buses will depart when full from the front of the stadium on La Rue Road and will provide one trip.
