Women’s Lacrosse
Who: UC Davis vs. University of Oregon

Score: 9-10 (loss)
In a close game against the University of Oregon, the Aggies were unable to secure one last goal for the win. The Aggies started off strong, holding the lead for the first three quarters of the match and only tying up with the Ducks in the ninth minute of the third quarter. Haily Dommers, a fourth-year science and technology studies major, scored the first goal of her career as a defensive player, allowing the Aggies to take the lead going into the fourth quarter. Both teams traded goals moving forward, with the Ducks scoring the last two goals of the match. Lauren Picardi, a graduate student studying human development, scored the only goal for the Aggies in the fourth quarter. This goal was quickly followed up by the Ducks, which finished the match with a victory for University of Oregon.
Women’s Water Polo
Who: UC Davis vs. Long Beach State University
Where: Long Beach, Calif. (away)
When: 2/27
Score: 6-8 (UC Davis loss)
Although the Aggies fought hard, going on a four-goal run in the second-half of the match, they were unable to catch up to the Long Beach Sharks. Starting off the match, Long Beach secured five unanswered goals in the first half. Liberty Massman, a fourth-year human development major, was the first to score for the Aggies, putting a point on the board for UC Davis in the first half. Following the UC Davis goal, Long Beach proceeded to score two more goals in the first half, with the score being 1-7 at halftime. Starting the second half, the Aggies secured five goals, four of which were by Chelsea Johnson, a third-year human development major. The Sharks were only able to score one goal in all of the second half; however, the Aggies' run wasn’t enough to secure the victory, with the final score ending 6-8.
Women’s Tennis
Who: UC Davis vs. California State University, Northridge
Where: Davis, Calif. (home)
When: 2/28
Score: 4-3 (win)
Despite starting the match off losing the doubles event and the point associated with it, the UC Davis women’s team came out on top, winning 4-3. Securing four of the six singles matches wins and points, the Aggies were able to take the lead by one point. Polina Marakhtanova, a second-year cognitive science major, and Mika Ikemori, a third-year psychology major, defeated their singles opponents despite losing one of the three sets, adding to the UC Davis score. Vivian Gallaway, a first-year business major, and Aileena Hu, a third-year human development major, finished out the meet with two more wins, securing the last two points and the win for the Aggies.
