Best dessert: Yoloberry Yogurt

This downtown location offers completely customizable frozen yogurt with 101 toppings to choose from

Yoloberry Yogurt has been named “Best Dessert” in our 2026 Best of Davis. Its downtown location offers completely customizable frozen yogurt with 101 toppings to choose from, including gummy frogs, apple pie filling and more.

Yoloberry has been a beloved community dessert shop since 2008, winning the “Best Dessert” category in The California Aggie’s Best of Davis in 2017, 2020 and now 2026.

For those who love the establishment, a new Yoloberry location has just opened at the Silo on campus, combined with Acai Fresh. This location has the same owners as the downtown Yoloberry Yogurt location, and serves custom acai bowls. The Silo location will have their grand opening May 7.

Isabel Muga, a fifth-year animal science major, said the convenient location downtown makes Yoloberry a frequent stop for her and her friends.

“I just love how it's so close to campus,” Muga said. “This is [...] our go-to spot.”

Muga added that Yoloberry is also a popular spot for student groups.

“[For] the line dancing club here at Davis [...] a lot of us come here to dance, exercise [and then] snack,” Muga said. “And I know that they do a lot of fundraisers, which is nice.”

Ezra Morford, a second-year gender studies major and Yoloberry employee, attributed Yoloberry’s win to its involvement in the Davis community, noting the pictures hung up on the walls of the store featuring community groups that Yoloberry supports.

“It's a Davis staple,” Morford said. “We're always doing things for the community, which I think makes people want to come back in.”

Morford added that the strong sense of community starts with the owners.

“Laura [Winton] and Lee [Pflugrath] are amazing,” Morford said. “They’re like Davis community staples [...] But I think mostly [it is] Laura and Lee showing that they actually care about Davis.”

Yoloberry owners and husband and wife Lee Pflugrath and Laura Winton both grew up in Davis. Pflugrath has a background in the Sonoma restaurant business and decided to use his experience to start his own food establishment in 2008. Winton joined the team in 2014.

Yoloberry is located downtown at 316 C St. It is open Sunday to Thursday from 11 a.m. to 11 p.m., and from 11 a.m. to 11:30 p.m. on Fridays and Saturdays.
