The final field event, shot put, started at 1 p.m., which was immediately followed by a recognition of the UC Davis seniors participating in field events at 2 p.m.

Jake Joerger, a second-year managerial economics major, led the men’s team in both discus and shot put, securing first place in both events. Logan Brantley, a first-year environmental engineering major, secured first place for the Aggies in the men’s hammer throw and third place in the shot put throw.

The track events included relays for both 100 meters and 400 meters, hurdles for both 110 meters and 400 meters, a 3,000-meter steeplechase, as well as short and long distance races. The 3,000-meter steeplechase is a combination of long-distance running and obstacles, as there are 28 fixed barriers on the track, and seven water jumps across seven and a half laps.

The final track event, men’s 4x400 meter relay, started at 2:50 p.m., which was immediately followed by the recognition of the UC Davis seniors participating in track events at 3 p.m.
