Breaking barriers with independent media

Arts & CultureNovember 19, 2009
A rare and exciting opportunity approaches for the city of Davis – a chance to become intimately familiar with a form of radio and television that embraces what corporate media brushes under the rug. More importantly, this is a chance to learn directly from the woman who digs it up for us.

Acoustics around campus

Arts & CultureNovember 12, 2009
Musicians and recording artists everywhere know that a great performance often depends on great acoustics. The sounds made by instruments and voices should often reverberate and echo around the room to create a blend of sound that lingers in the air even after the music has stopped.

CD Review: Wild Beasts

Arts & CultureNovember 12, 2009
Some melodies are so serene and creepy that you’re slightly disturbed, but they make you feel so good. This mad and bizarre combination allows them to stand on a level of their own.
