No. 11 UC Davis is back and ready to make a run at a Western Water Polo Association Championship.

It is time for the UC Davis men’s cross country team to begin the defense of its Big West Conference Title.

The Aggies won both of their games in an impressive fashion this week, putting their overall record to 3-1. Their first win was Sunday’s afternoon game against rival Sacramento State. The team worked hard to keep that momentum going and seven days later the San Jose State Spartans fell victim to the Aggie offense in a decisive 5-2 UC Davis victory.

UC Davis men’s soccer showed reasons for optimism in the preseason, but its regular season opener was a different story.

UC Davis entered Sunday’s contest brimming with confidence from a 2-0 road win over University of San Francisco.
