Fourteen years ago, my second grade classmates and I plotted our lifelines. Scribbled drawings and nearly-illegible captions adorned the long paper accordions, mapping all the pivotal events that were to occur in our futures.

There are things we all, as little Aggies, just seem to do during our stay here at Davis. For instance, this little Aggie has strolled through the arboretum. This little Aggie has taken a snapshot with an Egghead. And this little Aggie, like many others, handled his shit on Picnic Day.

As I’m nearing graduation (less than a month away! Eeek!) I find myself looking back at my past four years at Davis and reflecting on what I’ve learned. One thing I wish I’d known about sooner is the HR Black Hole, where resumes go to die.

In past years, ASUCD budget hearings have been long and disorganized, and it was clear senators were not familiar with the budget. However, this year, budget hearings ran smoothly and the budget itself was reasonable.

The state of California is in deep fiscal trouble, and cuts will have to be made across the board. One sector that will see its state funding go down is higher education.

As our state goes through yet another incarnation of budget hell, Californians of all walks of life continue to suffer.
