“Shawty’s like a melody in my head that I can’t keep out, got me singing like na na na na everyday; It’s like my iPod’s stuck on replay.” Wow, how flattering. Apparently someone is also good with a calendar: “Go Shawty, it’s your birthday.” And it seems that Bieber is having troubles with a short friend, considering “shawty is an eennie meenie miney mo lover.”

I have a love-hate relationship with women’s magazines. When I love it, I love it. Two hundred ways to get luscious hair? Seventy-five sexy moves to try on a man? Eight things I MUST tell my gyno? Tell me, Seventeen. I’m listening, Cosmopolitan.

With Obama schmoozing with the president of China last week, there has been a lot of talk about global relations. But, what language does that talk take place in? While English is steadily taking over the world in terms of its increasing number of non-native speakers, Chinese still holds the trophy of being the most spoken language on the globe. Why should we university students care? Well, if you want to get a job anytime soon, I suggest having one main component on your resume: multilingualism.

In my final year as an undergrad, I’ve noticed I spend a lot of time thinking about money – ways I can save it, ways I can earn it, ways I would steal it if I had the fortitude. Admittedly, I have some anxiety about where I’ll be in six months and how I might use my talents to earn enough money to send my kids to college some day.
