Dining in Davis: KetMoRee
FeaturesMay 18, 2009
After aimlessly walking around theWhole Earth Festivaland observing its diverse and largely animal-friendly food options,I came to the realization that I definitely did not want an herbal milkshake and Naan for lunch. This said,I opted to make thehalf-mile journey to Davis‘ newest Thairestaurant,KetMoRee,to dine at a place where the smell of the compost exhibit could not interfere with my appetite.

Much like the secret menu at In-N-Out,sometimes you have to be “in-the-know” to get the full benefits of things.Granted, you’re not exactly cognizant of what you’re missing, but those with the information understand how much better life is with animal and protein styles. The same goes for the secret menu at Jamba Juice (though I’m partial to the old classics),and even more for the things on campus that you have to be aware of to enjoy.

The American Way has never been the only way– it’s just taught like it is.Inherent and obvious flaws in American capitalism have bred in the wealthiest1percent a paranoid fear of an alternative economic system having any kind of success. After attempting to stop the Russian Revolution of1917,this country’s owners decided to do all they could to run Soviet Communism into the ground.

Event:Big WestConferenceChampionships Where:Anteater Stadium – Irvine,Calif. When:Friday andSaturday; all day Who to watch:Junior Chid Onyewuenyi has been dominating the throws all season, and the Big West has taken note. Onyewuenyi – who has qualified for regionals in both the hammer throw and the shot put – is ranked No.2in the Big West for the hammer and No.4in the shot. While those rankings are nice, she knows they won’t matter once the athletes enter the ring. “You may have the best mark coming into this weekend,” said Onyewuenyi, “but it all comes down to who has the furthest mark the day we compete.“
