It doesn’t matter whether you hate him or love him, no one can deny that Kanye West knows how to make a stellar record. My Beautiful Dark Twisted Fantasy is gorgeously produced and excellent from beginning to end. The first tracks soar with fairy tale likeness, and bring you down to the darkest of depths. Kanye’s unapologetic arrogance is full force on this album, but it’s really hard to hate because what he says he does so well, he really does. The rhymes are witty, the music is full of power and emotion and his feelings are raw. West’s turbulent two years have led him to this grandiose composition, full of self reflection and beyond just “good beats”
When an artist releases half of the tracks online and still sells exceptionally well, there has to be a reason. MBDTF is deeply creative and keeps pushing the envelope.
