Presentations
Matthew Blair from University Affairs gave a presentation about three new majors and minors that were recently approved by the UC Davis Academic Senate. He also mentioned that University Affairs is working on getting white lining privileges that allow for direct communication with the UC Board of Regents during the regents’ meetings.
Aaron Giampietro gave a presentation about Lobby Corps picking up advocacy and advertising winter quarter to get more student volunteers.
Steve Burkel, student director of the Bike Barn, gave a presentation about the expansion of bike barn and their spring sale in honor of their 40-year anniversary.
Appointments and Confirmations
Denise Lopez was confirmed as Post Office Director.
Amy Martin was confirmed as chair of the Internal Affairs Commission.
Aruj Ahmad, Laura Wagstaff, Sandip Singh, Jonathan Yip, Laura McCollough, Kate Calderazzo and Jessica Liu were confirmed to the Outreach Assembly.
Alisa Kim was confirmed as director of Project Compost.
Consideration of Old Legislation
Senate Bill 26, authored and introduced by Joel Juarez and co-authored by Rachel De los Reyes, to allocate $400 from Senate Reserves to fund the second annual ASUCD Financial Aid Awareness Week, passed unanimously.
Senate Bill 4, authored and introduced by Alison Bollbach and co-authored by Tanner and Marisa Corona, to oppose the halting of funding of the UC Davis Women’s Research and Resource Center Library and its librarian, passed unanimously.
