A party on Friday night at Avalon Apartments left a 19-year-old male injured and an 18-year-old male stabbed in the chest, according to Davis police.
At 12:48 a.m. on Saturday morning, police received a call about a large fight in the pool area of the complex, with chairs and bottles being thrown. When police arrived, an estimated 200 people were at the scene. Both victims were from Stockton and were brought to the UC Davis Medical Center. It is unknown who hosted the party.
“We appreciate the response of the police to the altercation,” said Laura Kerr-Valentic, of Avalon management, in an e-mail. “…We agree with the police comment that it is too easy for a party to get quickly out of control with social media.”
