March 2 through April 16 mark The Second Annual Art of Painting in the 21st Century conference and exhibition hosted by John Natsoulas Gallery in Davis.
Renowned artists will be participating in conferences and panel discussions on March 11 and 12 from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. Participants will be able to join artists Guy Diehl, M. Louise Stanley, Rachel Kline, Jerald Silva, Joe Pugliese, Robert Van Vranken, Julia Couzens and Richard West in engaging discussions about the West Coast style-art popularized by Wayne Thiebaud and Robert Arneson. There will be opening receptions held on March 11 from 7 to 10 p.m. at each location.
In addition to the main event, five student exhibitions will be held at various locations downtown to showcase students’ work and progress in the community.
