For seemingly obvious reasons, college websites don't tend to provide information on the hottest nightspots or where the cutest guys and girls congregate. However, that's not to assume that a lot of us wouldn't find this information helpful.
UC Davis graduates Michael Kim and Dan Greenberg solved this problem with yollege.com. Both said that they like to think of the website as an insider's guide to everything one needs to know about the college experience.

Desperate for an excuse to take an afternoon break from reviewing lecture slides for that first midterm? Well, Sunday's Celebrate UC Davis may be the only opportunity you will ever have to see 100 birthday cakes in the same place.
The Davis Chamber of Commerce has organized an array of festivities in celebration of the university's centennial. The events, geared toward people of all ages, will take place from noon to 4 p.m. throughout the downtown area and the UC Davis campus.
A man's curiosity led him into the operating room to undergo a procedure that could restore his vision or take his life. After unwrapping the bandage, he could see the world again after 43 years of blindness. But was the world what he expected, or was it all just a big disappointment?
Eight years after his surgery, Michael May spoke on Tuesday night at the Davis Musical Theatre Company about his experiences before and after regaining his eyesight. The lecture was hosted by Explorit Science Center.
In the Oct. 8 article "Dining in Davis: Crepe House Uni," restaurant owner Sagat Cheung was mistakenly referred to as "he." Cheung is female. The Aggie regrets the error.

Go to this event, every hour on the hour, to learn about international student volunteer positions that allow for two to three months of travel.
Dozens of undergraduate and graduate students lined up for hours in order to take advantage of the Mondavi Center's student ticket sale.
In an effort to promote student attendance at Mondavi Center concert events, 10 percent of the total tickets available for each performance were reserved for UC Davis students at reduced prices.
Students towards the front of the line arrived at 9 a.m., three hours before the box office opened, in order to ensure they got a ticket to one of the major events due in the coming year. Some of the more popular performers who will be appearing at the Mondavi Center include Yo-Yo Ma and Ihtzak Perlman.
The sale will end on Oct. 29 or when tickets are sold out.
You would think you'd only see girls in maid-like mini-dresses on Halloween. But now there's a new place in Davis where employees sport these costumes all year round.
The place is Crepe House Uni (pronounced yoo-nee), a Japanese-style crepe restaurant located on 117 E St.

Davis local Michael May will give a free lecture tonight on how he regained his eyesight from a cornea transplant and stem-cell treatment after 43 years of complete blindness. The lecture, hosted by Explorit Science Center, will be held at 7:30 p.m. at the Davis Musical Theatre Company, located on 706 Pena.
