With only one notch on their victory tally this season and in the midst of an eight-game slide, the Aggies were looking for a win.
On Monday, they found one.

Who to watch: The Aggies' scoring trio of Christina Corsa, Gina Hoffmire and Molly Lapolla have racked up nine goals apiece in just five games so far this season.
The close win on Saturday was sweet.
When it happened again the next day to clinch a spot in the Big West Conference Tournament, the feeling was even better.
Men's heptathlon
Matt Chisam, a former UC Davis track and field captain (2005), took fourth at the USATF National Indoor Championships in the heptathlon, scoring 5,443 points. Chisam still holds the top mark ever for an Aggie, which he set at 5,074 in 2005.

For graduating seniors Kayla Koch, Adee Schoffman and Andi Dolinsky, their last home meet was going to be exciting no matter the outcome.

On the home sideline, they were met with hugs and high fives from their coaches and teammates. On the opposite sideline, Cal State Northridge coach Bobby Braswell was at his feet, leading his staff in applause.

Coach Jon Vochatzer knew he was going to return from the season opener in Berkeley with some solid qualifying marks. Specifically, marks for conference.
Sophomore Thomas Phillips and senior Polly Gnepa, had more in mind, as both hurdlers successfully qualified for the NCAA West Regional Championships.

The Aggies did exactly that, using great work on the boards and two clutch free throws to narrowly beat Northridge at the Matadome on Wednesday night, 53-50.
