Women's lacrosse
Sophomore midfielder Gina Hoffmire scored her team-best fourth goal with 36 seconds remaining in the second overtime period to lead UC Davis to a 14-13 win over St. Mary's in Mountain Pacific Sports Federation action at St. Mary's Stadium on Sunday.
Solid pitching, quality at-bats, late-inning heroics - the young UC Davis baseball team ended its season-opening weekend with all the look of last year's playoff team.
The Aggies bounced back from a pair of losses on Friday and Saturday by picking up an extra-inning road win on Sunday against No. 12 UCLA.
